Climate Change Information Center was established in 1997 in the frames of ARM/95/G31/A/1G/99 UNDP/GEF Project "Armenia - Country Study on Climate Change" with a main goal to strengthen the Information Center of the Ministry of Nature Protection.
The aim of the project was to identify and create connections to both national and international sources of information which would lead to knowledge sharing and prevention of duplication in similar kind of efforts. The main goal of this activity is to find potential international partners to cooperate with either on this project or on the following possible projects dealing with Climate Change problems.
Media Contest on “Sustainable Energy for All”
The United Nations General Assembly declared 2012 as the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All (SEFA). The aim is to increase the awareness among the public on sustainable energy issues such as modern energy services, renewable energy, access to affordable energy and energy efficiency.
In the framework of the United Nations SEFA Initiative, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Department of Public Information (UN DPI) in Armenia are pleased to announce a media contest on the best coverage of the activities promoting sustainable energy in Armenia.

Seminar on Energy Efficient Design Approaches
In the frames of the Project, a seminar-discussion on "Integrating Energy Efficient Design Approaches in the Practice and Education of Architecture" was organized. It was held in Conference Hall of Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construciton on May 2, 2012.
