The site provides information on efforts made by the state of California to combat global climate change and reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Capacity Development for the CDM
The project is intended to help to establish GHG emission reduction projects that are consistent with national sustainable development goals, particularly projects in the energy sector. The project aims at generating in participating developing countries a broad understanding of the opportunities offered by the Clean Development Mechanism, and, developing the necessary institutional and human capabilities that allows them to formulate and implement projects under the CDM.

Climate Change Research
The Climate Change Research Section (CCR) is part of the Climate and Global Dynamics (CGD) Division at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado.The CCR makes extensive use of state-of-the-art coupled climate system models to study the sensitivity and stability of the Earth system to a variety of forcings, including changes of greenhouse gases, aerosols, solar irradiance, volcanic forcing, land characteristics, and land use change.

Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research
The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) was founded in 1992 and now has a staff of about 150 people. They examine the Earth system's capacity for withstanding human interventions and devise strategies for a sustainable development of humankind and nature. Purdue Climate Change Research Center
The Center was established in April 2004 to serve as a crucible for interdisciplinary research on climate change and its environmental, social, economic, and political impacts. The Center's mission is to increase scientific and public understanding of the causes and impacts of climate change through fundamental research and effective education and outreach.

Research Institute for Climate Change and Sustainability
The Research Institute for Climate Change and Sustainability was established as a joint initiative of the University of Adelaide and the Government of South Australia in December 2006. In order to address climate change which is caused by anthropogenic GHG emissions, the Research Institute is undertaking research to mitigate carbon emissions and develop adaptive strategies to respond to the anticipated impacts of climate change.

Stockholm Environment Institute
SEI is an independent, international research institute specializing in sustainable development and environment issues. It works at local, national, regional and global policy levels. The SEI research programmes aim to clarify the requirements, strategies and policies for a transition to sustainability.

The Climate Action Network (CAN)
The Climate Action Network (CAN) is a worldwide network of over 365 Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working to promote government and individual action to limit human-induced climate change to ecologically sustainable levels. CAN members work to achieve this goal through the coordination of information exchange and NGO strategy on international, regional and national climate issues. CAN has seven regional offices which co-ordinate these efforts in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Europe, Latin America, North America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

The International Institute for Sustainable Development

As the publisher of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin, IISD RS is recognized for its objectivity and issue expertise in the field of international environment and sustainable development policy. The various products provided by IISD RS make it an essential source of information for government officials, policy and decision makers, UN staff, non-governmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations, business, industry and academia.

The International Research Institute for Climate and Society
The International Research Institute for Climate and Society, part of Columbia University, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies have forged a partnership to help save lives from the humanitarian impacts of climate change. The IRI is developing tailored forecasting and monitoring products to help the International Federation improve its capabilities to both respond to and prepare for disasters.

US Global Change Research Program
