Introduction of Infrared Heating System in Assembly Hall of Hayordats House of Arabkir District of Yerevan City
Due to introduction of infrared heating system, electricity consumption for heating purposes decreases by about 40 per cent. Total annual savings of electricity reach 5860 kWh leading to greenhouse gases emission reduction of 3.57 CO2eq. tons. The system installation works were completed in December 2011.

Heat and cold supply system’s energy efficiency improvement in “AYB” high school of “AYB Learning Hub” foundation
“AYB” high school of “AYB Learning Hub” foundation applied to the UNDP-GEF project for expertise and assessment of the high school’s heat and cold supply system. The Project specialists studied the designed solutions and proposed to revise cold supply principle and use heat pumps that could provide for basic energy loadings of heating and input ventilation also. Due to using thermal pumps for heating purposes, annual savings of natural gas reach about 37.5 thousand nm3, equivalent to 3.45 million AMD at the current fuel tariffs. Due to saving of primary energy, annual reduction of greenhouse gases emissions reaches 70,5 t CO2 equivalent.
Installation of hot water supply system with solar water heaters in “Goris Medical Center” CJSC
“Goris Medical Center” CJSC is the main hospital of Goris town that provides medical services to all the population of Syunik marz. The hospital has 115 in-patient places and serves about four thousand patients annually. Heating and hot water supply to the hospital is performed through heat supply system constructed with World Bank financing. To reduce natural gas consumption for hot water supply purposes, the Center applied to the Project and, based on expert study results, it was decided to install this environmentally friendly and energy saving systems with an expectation to reduce natural gas consumption for hot water supply purposes and thus decrease greenhouse gas emissions. Contractor company was selected in October 2011 and respective works commenced on November 25, 2011.
