Events

Awareness raising, education and training among decision-makers, scientific community, specialized agencies, students and public in general is considered a significant capacity-building tool for the current project and is addressed through organization of various workshops, trainings and seminars. These activities are especially important within the context of:

• development of national capacities for the fulfillment of Armenia's commitments to the Convention,
• enhancement of knowledge and general awareness among the government, academic institutions, private and public sectors,
• strengthening national capacities for the evaluation of climate change consequences and building appropriate strategies for mitigation of climate change.

The Climate Change Information Centre established in the lifetime of the First National Communication is continuously serving as an information gathering, archiving, summarizing and disseminating unit. The current page contains information on a series of capacity building and awareness raising activities organized and held with support of the Information Center. It also provides information on the international climate change related events participated by the Armenian officials and experts.
