Workshop on Lands Monitoring
The workshop was organized on June 30, 2010 by the UNDP/GEF Project "Developing Institutional and Legal Capacity to Optimize Information and Monitoring System for Global Environmental Management in Armenia" and the Environmental Protection Department of the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia with support of the UNDP/GEF "Enabling Activities for the Preparation of Armenia's Second National Communication to the UNFCCC" Project. The event was attended by representatives from state agencies, national stakeholder organizations, educational institutions as well as international and non-governmental organizations. The total number of the registered participants was over 40. The opening remarks of the workshop were made by Mr. Simon Papyan, First Deputy
