The main purpose of the project activity is generation of clean hydroelectric energy and contribution to climate change mitigation efforts. |
Project Description: |
The Saravan and Her-Her Small-Scale Hydropower Project developed by Firma G.A.Kh. LTD is a small-scale hydropower project in Vayots Dzor in the Republic of Armenia. Total installed capacity of the Project will be 6,041 MW. The project consists of two hydro power plants. The capacity of the Her-Her SHPP is 0,995 MW, the capacity of the Saravan SHPP is 5.046 MW. Saravan and Her-Her SHPPs will start generate electricity in September 2009. The electricity generated by Project will be sold to the Armenian Electricity Network (AEN).
