Seminar on Vulnerability of Armenia’s Forests
The seminar was organized on February 22, 2008 in the framework of UNDP/GEF "Enabling Activities for the Preparation of Armenia's Second National Communication to the UNFCCC" Project and served an introduction to "Adaptation of Armenia's Mountainous Ecosystems to Climate Change Impacts" project preparation activities. It was attended by representatives from relevant ministries, national and international organizations, NGOs, as well as Project experts.
The seminar aimed at introduction of general requirements for the preparation of Second National Communication, while highlighting the importance of forestry as a component of Vulnerability/Adaptation section and as a constituent part of GHG inventory. The seminar included overview of UNDP/GEF project aimed at preparation of Second National Communication and implementation of forest adaptation measures in Armenia.
