The guide addresses to the consequences of climate change, including its impacts on natural ecosystems, population health, economy, as well as possible mitigation and adaptation measures.

HOW DO WE UNDERSTAND CLIMATE CHANGE?
A Guide for Beginners (2007)

The book was translated into Armenian and supplemented with information relating to Armenia within the framework of the "Implementation of the Article 6 of the Framework Convention on Climate Change in Armenia" UNEP/Armenia Project. The UN Framework Convention adopted in 1992 is the agreement that joins efforts of the countries to mitigate the consequences of climate change. The Kyoto Protocol elaborates on the principles of the UNFCCC, adding more complex and specific obligations.

CLIMATE CHANGE: Guide-Book for Students of Higher Educational Institutions in Armenia (2007)

The book includes description of main climate formation factors and processes, assessment of GHG impact on climate patterns in the past, present and the coming 100 years, projection of climate change consequences, particularly in Armenia, international efforts aimed at mitigating the consequences of climate change. Special emphasis is made on the clauses and mechanisms of implementation of the Kyoto Protocol.

The guidelines were prepared and published within the framework of the "Implementation of the Article 6 of the Framework Convention on Climate Change in Armenia" UNEP/Armenia Project. The guide includes a curriculum of lectures to be delivered by specialists at higher educational institutions in Armenia.

The brochure was prepared on the basis of the IPCC 2001 Assessment Report and data provided by the UNFCCC Secretariat as of July 2003 and was translated into Armenian within the framework of "Armenia - Country Study on Climate Change" UNDP/GEF Project. The brochure summarizes the findings of IPCC and the recent developments on the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol.
