The Lessons Learned Report was prepared in 2012 and published in order to capture the experiences gained and observations made during implementation of "Improving Energy Efficiency of Municipal Heating and Hot Water Supply" UNDP-GEF 00035799 project. The Report summarizes the achievements of the Project and formulates key recommendations concerning the future development of energy efficient heat supply market in Armenia.
"Construction Climatology" AST II-7.01-2011 replaces AST II-7.01-96 and sets climate indicators and parameters related to municipal heating, cooling, ventilation, atmospheric moisture capacity, precipitation and wind that are used in urban development and design concepts.

On November 24th, 2012, a new building of the “AYB” high school equipped with an energy efficient heat and cold supply system opened its doors to accommodate 250 additional students. At the request of the “AYB” high school, UNDP-GEF Project provided assistance in designing, procuring and installing the heat pump based system for the new branch building, taking into account the expansion plans of the school.
As Municipal Heating Project approached its completion, its final evaluation was performed in mid-2012. With support of the project's staff and in close cooperation with UNDP Regional Center in Bratislava, the respective report was prepared by Mr. Jiri Zeman, international expert. The report highlights achievements and impacts of the project.
A reflection on key demonstration (pilot) projects, approaches, achievements and progress of "Armenia - Improving the Energy Efficiency of Municipal Heating and Hot Water Supply" project was published in "Architecture and Construction" Journal of Builders' Union of Armenia.
The Project Expert, PhD in Technical Sciences, Mr. Robert Kharazyan presented his tutorial on "Renewable Energy: Sources and Technologies" for faculty and students of Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction (in Armenian).
On 23-24 January 2012, a workshop on “Energy labelling and ecodesign of household appliances and energy uses products” was organized by the initiative of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of EU TAIEX programme in Yerevan, Armenia.The workshop aimed to present the complete set of activities and rules needed for a functional system related to household electrical products and appliance energy labelling and ecodesign.
The first conference of rural communities was organized in the frames of local self-government 15th anniversary celebrations in Jermuk town on October 10 to 11, 2011.
UNDP Armenia and "Armstatehydromet" SNCO organised a seminar to discuss the revised version of "Construction Climatology" SNIP II-7.61-96 in UN House Conference Hall on September 9, 2011.

Spitak town municipality and Energy Saving Foundation Armenia organized a workshop on "Energy Efficiency in a Community: What Can Be Done in Spitak?" in YMCA meeting hall in Spitak town on July 13, 2011. The workshop took place within "Sound Energy Consumption Days" event organized by the MODEL (Management Of Domains related to Energy in Local authorities) project of EU.
