Poster on forest fire prevention (2011)

This poster has been developed to promote attitude and actions towards prevention of burning stubble and other dry vegetation on fields, pastures, and hayfields and consequent occurrence of forest fires. The copies of the poster were disseminated among the forest neighboring communities, educational institutions and NGOs in Armenia with particular focus to Syunik region.

Tourist Oriented Brochure on “Armenia – Syunik Forests and Sustainable Tourism” (2010)

The brochure highlights rich forest biodiversity of Armenia’s Syunik region, tourism and eco-tourism opportunities, human and climate change induced threats to forests, sustainable tourism rules, as well as contains a number of photos presenting Syunik specific flora and fauna species. The brochure is developed in the scope of the “Adaptation to Climate Change Impacts in Mountain Forest Ecosystems of Armenia” UNDP/GEF/00051202 project.

"Armenia: Climate Change Impacts" 2009 Calendar

"Armenia: Climate Change Impacts" 2009 calendar in Armenian and English, prepared by CC Information Center, was published in 2008. The calendar presents CC Impacts on the RA territory. Situations on the same spots twenty years ago and this year were compared and the effective changes interpreted. The calendar's penultimate page briefly presents geography and climate, refers to plant and animal world of the country.

This publication is aimed at presenting the rich forest biodiversity of Armenia's Syunik Marz, current and expected vulnerability to global climate change impacts, as well as brief introduction of the adaptation measures to climate change impacts. It is designed for the large audience including: decision makers, local authorities, forest specialists, communities, students, and all those concerned about biodiversity of Syunik Marz.
