In the frames of the Project, a seminar-discussion on "Integrating Energy Efficient Design Approaches in the Practice and Education of Architecture" was organized. It was held in Conference Hall of Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construciton on May 2, 2012.

UN Development Programme organized a seminar on "Laboratory testing of construction insulation materials and products, light-penetrating pre-fabricates and building envelopes" that took place in "Paryur Sevak" hall of "Hrazdan" hotel on April 18 and 19, 2012.

On February 8, 2012 a press conference was held at RA Ministry of Urban Development.  Minister of Urban Development Mr. Vardan Vardanyan presented activities implemented in the field of urban development during 2011, as well as addressed priority issues for 2012.

Ms.Kirsten Maquire, the Project's International Expert on Development and delivery of comprehensive training program on Energy Efficient Building Design and Integrated Building Design Approach, delivered a lecture on Essentials of Energy Efficient Buildings Design to faculty and students of Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction on December 21, 2011.

"Certification and Testing Issues of Construction and Insulation Materials and Pre-fabricates in Armenia and International Experience" seminar was organized in "Vivaldi" hall of "Golden Tulip" hotel on December 1, 2011. Representatives of state stakeholder parties, testing laboratories, construction and insulation materials and pre-fabricates producing companies took part in the seminar.

Steering Committee meeting of "Improving Energy Efficiency in Buildngs" UNDP-GEF/00059937 project was held in the Conference hall of Ministry of Nature Protection of the RA on November 16, 2011.

Spitak town municipality and Energy Saving Foundation Armenia organized a workshop on "Energy Efficiency in a Community: What Can Be Done in Spitak?" in YMCA meeting hall in Spitak town on July 13, 2011. The workshop took place within "Sound Energy Consumption Days" event organized by the MODEL (Management Of Domains related to Energy in Local authorities) project of EU.

In the frames of “Energy Cooperation between the EU, the Littoral States of the Black and Caspian Seas and their Neighboring Countries” (INOGATE) initiative, “Support to Energy Market Integration and Sustainable Energy in the NIS” (SEMISE) project organized a professional course on “Industrial Energy Audit Analysis for Bankable Projects”.

Goals of the "Improving Energy Efficiency in Buildings" Project, its covered issues, mainstreamed approaches and professional and administrative cooperation efforts are now covered by "Architecture and Construction" Journal in its February 2011 issue, #2 (80). The journal is published by the Builders' Union of Armenia in Armenian language.
