The Project’s partner, Research Institute of Building Physics (НИИСФ) of Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences, provided a study tour on testing for selected leading specialists of the Project’s partner laboratories on November 19 to 22, 2012.
A series of international events in the frames of “Russian Days of Building Science in Germany” were held on November 11 to 18, 2012. The events were organized by Institute of building physics (Fraunhofer Institute Bauphysik) in Holzkirchen and by the Project’s partner organization, Russian Scientific Institute of Building Physics (НИИСФ).
VIII Annual International Conference of Regional Environmental Center of the Caucasus on “Greening Energy Sector: mainstreaming energy efficiency and utilization of the renewable energy in the Caucasus Energy sector development” was held in Tbilisi, Georgia on October 25 and 26, 2012.
The GEF organized its Expanded Constituency Workshop in Yerevan, “Marriott Armenia” hotel, on September 25 to 27, 2012.
"Improving Energy Efficiency in Buildings" UNDP-GEF Project participated in the Third International Forum: Energy for Sustainable Development, capacity building for energy efficiency and access to cleaner energy in Central Asia and neighboring regions, held at the Issyk Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan on 12 to 14 September 2012.
Regional Environmental Center for the Caucasus organized a regional conference on "Utilization of Renewable Energy: Challenge and Opportunity for the Caucasus" in Tbilisi, Georgia, on March 1 and 2, 2012.
The Green Economy Report entitled Towards a Green Economy: Pathways to Sustainable Development and Poverty Eradication is compiled by UNEP’s Green Economy Initiative in collaboration with economists and experts worldwide.
