General National Requirements

General national requirements to CDM projects may be grouped as follows:

(i) Voluntary participation of the project participants and Project Host: a project must be developed on a voluntary basis and agreed with all the parties involved;

(ii) DM project's contribution to sustainable development: the overall contribution of the project to sustainable development must be positive;

(iiI) Prevention of any negative impact on the environment: projects should not result in negative impacts on the environment; and

(iv) Compliance with all national and international requirements for CDM projects.
