

































The Moscow Greenhouse Gas Market Forum 2006, which was opened in the President Hotel on April 3, 2006, was attended by more than 250 experts from around the world. The Forum provided unique opportunities to companies and institutions from Russia and other former Soviet Union countries to get the latest information about the international carbon market and the possibilities under the Kyoto Protocol mechanisms.
The Forum aimed to share knowledge on the institutional basis and state of the international GHG market, latest development on green investment schemes, experience of potential carbon buyers, and pricing of emission reductions. The institutional framework in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries and priority areas for JI and CDM projects were discussed in the light of market facilitation.
The Armenian delegation was represented by the officials from Public Services Regulatory Commission of RA, Ministry of Nature Protection of RA and Ministry of Energy of RA as well as experts from EU TACIS Project on Kyoto Protocol and CDM.
At the fourth session of the forum Mr. Aram Gabrielyan, Head of Environmental Protection Department of MoNP, made a presentation on Implementation of the Kyoto Protocol and Clean Development Mechanism in Armenia.
